Although it is not the busiest part of the UK network in absolute terms, the Wales&Borders timetable presents a number of difficulties due to the combination of single track lines, multiple-unit working and block systems. During the franchise bid, trenolab was asked by one of the competitors to support the development of timetables and test them using stochastic simulation.
