Twyford Parkway

The planned Twyford Parkway Railway Station will offer Park&Ride services in the Berkshire county. With a new station on the line our study was aimed first at conducting a headway analysis to determine the maximum service frequency on the fast and the relief line without changes to the existing signal blocks. This input was used by our partner RailAspect RailAspects Ltd to design various timetable scenarios, which we tested with by performing stochastic simulations on the existing infrastructure, as well as on two infrastructure models using trenissimo. The first infrastructure model covered the current infrastructure configuration, while the second model considered a future infrastructure scenario version which included the tunnel from the Heathrow airport.
