Trenolab at Science Week in Gorizia

Three of the Trenolab team returned to high school on February 13. Giorgio, Paolo, and Stefano described working at Trenolab, railway planning and their work on London’s Crossrail project.

All three attended the Liceo Scientifico Statale Duca degli Abruzzi and were invited back as part of the school’s Settimana della Scienza (Science Week) by their former physics teacher Patrizia Stabon. Science week is designed to encourage students to pursue science-based careers and even create their own start-ups.

After the presentation the students had many interesting questions ranging from why trains are late to how to successfully start a business. On the walk back to the office, we discussed creating part time work opportunities for interested students. We’re already looking forward to next year’s science week.
